Scout Account Agreement 2007-2008

Background:

In addition to the prizes that are earned through the Trails-end popcorn program, Pack 104 offers each scout an opportunity to accrue earnings. Money is accrued from both your scout’s participation in his Den popcorn site sale and from the sales of his individual effort in selling popcorn. This accrual will be placed in an account for your scout. This money is an activity and purchase credit only. This credit can be applied to the cost of any pack-sponsored event or for the reimbursement for the purchase of any scout-approved uniforms and equipment, etc. This credit will be available for the scout to use from October 1, 2007 through August 15, 2008 , except as noted below.

Program Qualifications:

1) The individual scout’s personal sales must reach the $100 sales level to qualify for the 15% accrual.

2) A $5 credit will be granted for each scout that participates in his Den’s site sale for the required 2-hour time slot. Additional money can be earned for extended times and multiple locations.

3) Al l popcorn ORDERS and money are due and must be turned in to your DEN LEADER no later than Thursday November 1st, 2007 or a $10 late fee will be accessed against the scout’s credit account.

How to be reimbursed for Purchases:

Keep your sales receipt for scouting related purchases.
Submit a copy of your receipt with your name/address during a scheduled Pack meeting.
The purchase will either be reimbursed at the Pack Meeting or the receipt will be forwarded to the Finance Committee and a check will be promptly mailed to you.

Pack Sponsored Events:

When you register your scout for an event, (i.e. annual ski trip, etc.), notify the Event Coordinator that your scout’s credit should be used toward the cost of the event. Any further balance due would then be paid in time for the event.

Unused Credit:

After August 15, 2007 , any unused credit in the scout’s account will revert back to the Pack Account. The Pack Account is used for expenditures that have been approved by the Pack Finance Committee. Examples of expenditures approved in the past have been the purchase of our Pinewood Derby track, Pinewood Derby scales, wireless sound system, E-Z up canopies, ice chests, and awards, etc. These items are used to support scouting events such as the Family Fall Campout, trips, and special events. The Pack Account has also been used for confidential camp scholarships.
