Program Overview at Pack 104
|
| |
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
At Pack 104 we ask
Parents to do 3 things: |
|
| |
- Participate with your
Son in the Den activities - this is not a drop-off program !
- Communicate with (and
help) the Den Leader to make the Den level program activities
meaningful and FUN !
- Celebrate your Son's
achievements !
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
At Pack 104 we
attempt to follow the BSA Cub Scout program as closely as possible.
This makes it easier for the parents and Den Leaders to know what is
expected of them and what activities to plan for. |
|
| |
This program is outlined in 2
major documents: |
|
| |
1 - The CUB SCOUT
PROGRAM HELPS guidebook, and
2 - The Cub Scout
Handbooks that relate to each year of Cub Scouts
i.e., the (Tiger, Bear, Wolf, Webelos) handbooks
|
|
| |
These
publications are available at the district scout office - in the scout
store,
please pick one up each year ! You will need them !

Other Important
Facts: |
|
| |
The pack attempts to have 2
major activities outdoor each Year ,
Fall Family Campout and a Spring trip or Campout |
|
| |
The Pack
Funds its activities via One MAJOR fundraising event - POPCORN SALES !
- Last year we were the leading pack in our Council, this
paid for major the "program" expenses
(that is why we do not charge "Dues" to cover the Pack expenses)
- Boys earn a percentage of their sales to help pay for their
scout activities: trips, camp, etc
(many boys paid for all or part of their major activities with their
"Popcorn Credits")
We believe strongly
in this fundraiser as a character growth and development activity, and it
helps keep the cost down for parents, we ask all boys to participate in
this activity. |
|
| |
Each Month we try to plan a
special FUN activity like:
Pinewood Derby, Holiday Parade, Ski Trip, etc.
(sometimes
this takes the place of a Pack meeting) |
|
| |
Each month we have a PACK
meeting to recognize the success and advancements of the BOYS |
